TOPIC: Power Pix

Power Pix 22 Jul 2012 21:02 #11415

I start back in a few weeks and would like to print and laminate all powerpix so I can have it checked off my to-do list, however since June the 1st grade LA powerpix is being edited and I am unable to download. Does anyone know how much longer until that file is ready?

I found the powerpix. They under the download option. There are ones for math and languages, however the are for the California Standards. Our school as moved to the Common Core Standards, but many of the powerpix also go along with Common Core. They are great!! I hoped I helped you!

Power Pix are currently labeled with California state standards, but there are educators in the process of converting them to match the Common Core. One such teacher is Melissa Ortuno. Here is a link to her blog with her latest updates to Power Pix and the Common Core Standards.

I am not so good with technology but am wondering how I could copy a Power Pix that I downloaded and then begin my own PPT slides in the order that we present the standards in my classroom. I would love to have them in a presentation and build on it all year. Any techie help? Thanks!!!

Have you tried to copy/paste the pix into your PPT presentation slides? If you don't know how to copy/paste... With cursor on the pix, right click on mouse and select copy from drop down list. Then go into your PPT slide and right click on mouse again, but this time select paste! It should automatically appear on the slide.

Hope I answered your question.
