TOPIC: Seeking WBT colleagues near Memphis

Seeking WBT colleagues near Memphis 27 Jul 2009 03:32 #1689

I attended Chris's workshope last week and I think it is going to be a lifesaving method for me and my students. I'm looking for buddies in the Memphis area who can collaborate with me and share our successes and failures.

Hi! I teach first at a Memphis City School and just got hooked, by accident, to WBT. I just started implementing Class-Yes and the rules last week and WOW! Where do you teach in the Memphis/Shelby County area and what grade?

I'd love to speak with you about your experience with WBT. I'm over teacher development and I have some teachers interested.

My wife and I have been WBT teachers in East Tennessee (Alcoa and Maryville) for a couple of years now. Maybe we can stretch this across the state. It has been a huge success in our part of the state and teachers are very curious about it.

I am also seeking WBT colleagues near Memphis. I will begin implementing by steps. It is the beginning of the second six week, but I do not think it is ever too late to start this. The students will absolutely enjoy this and learn at the same time.

Hi Friends...I am in the Memphis area and teach kindergarten in the County. I just found out about WBT and LOVE it. I can't wait to start teaching with the method and would also like to become a trainer! Please let me know how it has been working in your rooms and I would love to collaborate!

I'm outside Memphis, but in West Tennessee (Gibson County). I've been using pieces of wbt since the end of the year 2011. Love it! I implement little bits at a time. There are so many other new things we do each year with curriculum, etc, that I find it easier to do 1 new wbt thing at a time till it becomes second nature. My students love the big seven and and the crazy professor. I also had alot of success with super improvers at the end of the year last year. I had trouble fitting in super speed last year. We did it, but it was sporadic. I'd love to hear ideas about fitting it in this year. I'm also thinking that Mind Soccer will be an excellent Friday game this year.

I would like to join a group or see some teachers in action. I live in north Georgia but only about 15 minutes from Tennessee close to Chattanooga. Is there a local group anywhere in this area?
